Ferris File-a-Wax Carving Waxes, used for making models to be reproduced by the lost wax casting process. They can be sawed, filed or carved. Will stand rough handling and will not soften in your hands. Available in three degrees of hardness, designated by color, and in a variety of shapes.
Blue Wax The softest and most flexible carving wax. Will bend 90 degrees on 1/8" or 3.2 mm thickness. 220ºF (105ºC) melting point. Blue wax works well for carvings with rounded surfaces and thin walls.
Purple Wax Some Flexibility. 230ºF (110ºC) melting point. Purple wax is a general purpose wax that is ideal for carvings with small openings.
Green Wax The hardest carving wax. Cannot be flexed by hand. 240ºF (115ºC) melting point. Green wax is excellent for intricate and detailed carvings.
